Layers of Wallpaper

One of my current work projects is the stabilization and exterior rehabilitation of the Thompson Building in Edinburgh, IN. I’ve been wanting to grab new photos since we recently cleaned out the interior. I had time between meetings at the building today, so I walked through to document the interior spaces.

While I was walking through the building, I started to notice the great vintage wallpaper found throughout the second and third floors of the building. Which one is your favorite?

  1. These are so great! Such a good assortment of patterns, too. I wish I knew more about wallpaper history!

  2. Thanks, Susie! I think I was most surprised by the wide variety. I wish I knew more about wallpaper history, myself. So fun!

  3. I’ve wanted to visit Edinburgh for a while now! From all the photos I’ve seen on IG, it looks like such a pretty place. That said, I will definitely check out the Thompson Building and the other pretty historical sights around town. As for the wallpaper, I really like all of them—the patterns are like nothing I’ve ever seen. They are beautiful!

    • I can’t wait to hear what you think of Edinburgh! I was just there again today. I’m there regularly with this project, and it does have some really great architecture gems. Also, check out the popcorn shop (I can’t remember the name, oops!) when you visit!
