I’m not a morning person. However, I’ve slowly grown on the idea if it involves a beautiful sunrise. When we visited Rehoboth Beach in June, I knew the sunrise on the Atlantic Ocean would be stunning. Sunrise was around 5:35, so I knew I’d have to wake up by 4:45 to walk down to the beach and set up in time. The weather was rainy and cloudy most of the time, but one morning it looked like it would cooperate.
I groggily walked to the beach, where I was met by the sand cleaning tractor and a few other early risers. I turned on a little Imogen Heap on my headphones and enjoyed the chilled morning air. The colors – in pinks, orange, and blues – were absolutely beautiful. On this morning, I became a morning person.
