Oasis Diner

Leslie Knope: Why would anybody ever eat anything besides breakfast food?
Ron Swanson: People are idiots, Leslie.

My love of breakfast food could be only rivaled by Leslie Knope. I’d have breakfast for every meal if it was socially acceptable. Eggs, pancakes, grits, french toast… gosh. I can eat it all.

Oasis Diner is the very definition of a preservation success story. The 1954 Mountain View Diner landed on Indiana Landmarks 10 Most Endangered List in 2010, but five years later, it has been moved, restored, and reopened in downtown Plainfield. Since the November reopening, I’ve made the trek to Plainfield twice to feast on the delicious breakfast food in this authentically restored diner.

Learn more about the Oasis Diner through their Facebook page or their drool-inducing menu on their website. How about I share a few photos that encourage you to make the drive to Plainfield?
