One thing I’ve noticed from researching older issues of Popular Science and Popular Mechanics is the fascination with innovative technologies in house building. Specifically, quick ways to build cheap houses. Although it appears concrete is typically the material of choice in these new house types, I stumbled across this concept for a $50 paper house. I think we can all agree that even with the proposed “water resistant paint”, this house probably wouldn’t stand up to a heavy storm or a big gust of wind. What do you think about this interesting “emergency shelter?” More importantly – what does the cat in the photo think about its temporary home?
