One of the things I have collected over the years is postcards – both old and new. Whenever I travel, I try to pick up a few postcards for my collection. When I am antiquing, I try to grab some historic postcards of fun places or views that interest me. The postcard above is one of those “fun views” – this is primarily a postcard of the 30th Street Bridge, which is part of the Indianapolis Park and Boulevard System National Register of Historic Places listing. However, my favorite part of this postcard is the back of the Naval (Heslar) Armory. Rarely, can you find historic photos with the “back” of a building and whenever I stumble upon them I am always excited.
This bridge is an absolutely beauty and well deserving of its own postcard!
