Shutterbug Sunday: Franklin College

I absolutely adore Franklin, Indiana. Not only is it a fun “small town” just 30 minutes south of Indianapolis, it has a great selection of historic architecture. Franklin is home to the beautiful Johnson County Courthouse, numerous historic neighborhoods, a wonderful downtown, and Franklin College. In all the times I have visited Franklin, it was only recently I took the time to walk through and explore Franklin College.

Franklin College was founded in 1834 and has a student body of approximately 1,000 men and women. The campus is a compact, walkable area with a few historic buildings alongside many contemporary ones. I snapped a few photos of the most notable historic buildings: Old Main and Shirk Hall.
